VINTAGE SILVER FILIGREE APPLE TRINKET BOX HINGED LIDDED FIGURAL FRUIT KEEPSAKE

Exquisite vintage silver filigree apple-form trinket box. This intricately handmade piece is crafted entirely of fine coiled and scrolled silver wire filigree in floral and leaf motifs. The apple separates at the middle into two bowl halves, forming a charming lidded keepsake or pill box, topped with a curved stem and a detailed openwork leaf. A wonderful decorative collectible and conversation piece. Weighs 111 grams and measures approximately 4.25 inches tall by 2.75 inches in diameter. Unmarked; tests/appears to be silver filigree of European or Middle Eastern origin. Shows light age tarnish and minor verdigris and remnants of polish but remains in very good condition with no significant damage to the delicate wirework.
