BEAUTIFUL BAKELITE FUR CLIP MOSAIC MILLEFIORI INLAY

This is a beautiful old bakelite fur, or scarf or shoe clip (it actually looks great on a necklace - ask me for pics). The center mosaic inlay looks like a giant millefiori. Surrounding the central design is a green fluted area that resembles the petals of a flower or perhaps the undulations of a seashell. The symmetry and the color contrast between the vivid millefiori and the more subdued green bakelite are wonderfully unique yet complimentary. Measures 2 inches by 1 and ⅛ inch and weighs 11.8 grams. Silver clip is some sort of plated metal that is solidly riveted on, and the spring is nice and strong. Collector quality piece in excellent condition c. 1940. _gsrx_vers_1652 (GS 9.7.4 (1652))
